The RA6M1 had an external 8-bit external machine that can be used for SRAM access. We need to access a single 8 MB SRAM part. We will need 23 bits of the address to access the part.
Can the RA6M1 access an 8- bit wide SRAM part with 3 bytes of address?
Thanks
Hi, Thanks for reaching out to Renesas Engineering Community. As mentioned in Table15.4 in the RA6M1 primer there are 13 address output pins( A12- A00) for each of the 8 CS areas of 8KB. thus, I suppose it isn't possible to connect all 23 address bits simultaneously.
