Hii, I am working on emergency bulb solution and facing issues with bms ic. charging cut-off function not working when battery voltage reached 4.2-4.3v. what will be the solution.

You should be suitable to get specifics of the OTP programming from Semtech. When it comes to using the Clock creator, you should just have to power it up, hang a crystal reference on it, and the get affair clocks that are needed per the Semtech design. However, that can be done through the I2C interface, If you wish to alter any of the OTP’s settings. However, we ought to be suitable to help, If you need further information than what’s provided in the datasheet to accomplish this programming. However, you’ll need to apply for your own custom OTP part number and setup, If you wish to have your own settings burned in for power-up/ reset purposes.

Abnormal charging protection
The battery voltage will continue to rise if the
overcharge protection fails. Once the battery voltage is
higher than 4.35V , the BP5428 will bypass the
charging path to protect the battery(K1 off, K3 on) .
Battery charging & Over-charging protection
• The battery is charged through LED1, Rch and K1(K1 on, K2
off). The charging current equals to ILED1.
• Once the lithium battery is overcharged, the battery voltage is
higher than 4.2V for more than 130ms, the chip will cut off the
charging path and the emergency LED2 is turned on(K1 off, K2
on). Only when the battery voltage drops to 4V, the charging
circuits operate again.
◆ Battery discharging & Over-discharging protection
• The battery is discharged through K1, Rch, LED2 and K2 (K1
on, K2 on) in emergency mode.
• When the lithium battery is over-discharged with the battery
voltage under 2.7V, the battery is stopped to discharge by
BP5428(K1 off, K2 off).
