Hello,

I’m designing a circuit with an L5973D switching controller to give 3.8 v and am facing a peculiar problem. The circuit is as per the design reference in the datasheet and the feedback resistors are given to give 3.8 v affair (10K and 4.7 K). originally, I get 3.8 v. But while leaving the circuit connected, it starts inching up about 10mV every 10 twinkles or so. likewise, powering down the circuit and also back over doesn’t beget it to give 3.8 v again. Wondering what is going on.

    Hi,

out of my one experience in switch mode power supplies there are a couple of key points to follow when doing these designs.

    1. Insure all resistors are 1 type, this limits the change over temperature which in turn will limit the output change variations.

    2. Insure the track from the switching point is close as possible to the coil and doesn’t add resistance to the coil.

    3. Output capacitors require to hold a low ESR type

    hope some of this helps.

    Thanks & Regards

The trace code GF473234 to your STD100N10F7 is correct, i.e. date code 234 = 2022, week 34. However, a person by accident combined up the 2 groups of three digits on the label, i.e. 473 and 234. You can consequently assume that the whole thing is in order and simplest the label becomes printed incorrectly.

    Does it solve your question?

The current is specified in the test conditions, the Voh and Vol is specified for a load of 1mA(for push-pull). The nRESET can be treated as the GPIO characteristics.

As the XDPL8210 chip on the 35 W reference design PCB has a first full set of parameters in its One-Time
Programmable (OTP) memory space, only changed parameters are written in the OTP memory.

1 Load configuration file (see example in Figure 7).
2 Modify the parameter value needed, then press [File] >> [Save] or [File] >> [Save as] to save
the configuration file. Otherwise, proceed to step 3.
    3
    (optional)
Disconnect or turn off AC input voltage and check the hardware connection for configuration,
see Figure 2 and Figure 3.
4 Press to supply power and establish connection to the target XDPL8210. After this,
XDPL8210 will enter configuration mode and the device status should change to .
    5
Press to burn the configuration into target XDPL8210.
After this step, a window pops up, like one of these below.

Note: If the parameter configuration is equivalent to to the pre-existing parameters, the
XDPL8210 will not burn them in the OTP memory.
6 Press “Proceed” or “Yes” to burn the configuration. After this, a window pops up indicating
    success.
7 Press “OK” on the pop-up window then disconnect the programming cable from the board
connector and test the application, if needed.
