For simple outputs like tones, ESP32 enables DAC analogue audio output. The outcome won't be as ideal if you use it to play music, though. I2S digital audio output is additionally supported by ESP32. Please refer to the ESP32 Datasheet’s Chapter Peripherals and Sensors for information on I2S adjustable pins.
