Be apprehensive that typically there will be some launch chatter on TxD0– if you are applying this pin for I2C and the different column stays idle, this is doubtful to make an issue, however, (similarly note that depending on the module/board, TxD0 may have a built-in 500-ohm series resistor. It likely will not interfere too important with I2C, but if you are having issues streaming I2C at a high bitrate, it may be because the resistor limits the slew rate.)
